Homemade Lemonade

This past Sunday was quite pretty here....a perfect day for homemade lemonade and a BBQ.

Homemade Lemonade

Ingredients

4 cups sugar
6 cups water
24 whole lemons, juiced
8 cups of additional water
and lots of ice

Directions

Heat 4 cups of sugar with 6 cups of water in a medium saucepan until dissolved. Set this in the fridge to cool.

Chill the lemon juice if you have time.

Pour the lemon juice into a large vat. Pour in 3/4 of the sugar syrup, then top of the vat with ice. Pour in 8 cups of water (more or less), stir it around, then give it a taste. Add more sugar syrup if it needs more sweetness or more water if it needs dilution.

Serve immediately.

The Shopkeeper & Friends Market

Today was the Shopkeeper & Friends Market at the Whistle Stop. It started out cold and drizzly....and ended cold, rainy and windy. The show was to be from 9-4pm, but we started to pack at about 1:00pm due to the ugly weather....and the forcasted storm coming our way.

I was surprised at the number of customers that came out for the event, even with the crummy weather. It turned out to be a good show.....thanks so much Laurie and Jeff!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my little space.....it was so nice to meet you all.

I also wanted to let you know, that I'll be posting about my kitchen soon. The weather here has been gloomy for so long and it's been hard to get any good photos....but I do believe warmer weather is on the way....and with that comes beautiful sunny days....which are great photo taking days in my kitchen.
