Christmas Caramels

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
I wanted to share a new recipe I tried this year for Christmas. I love caramels, and have tried making them before with no luck....then I found this recipe on Pinterest....and it turned out great. I also found a great new cooking blog called Chef-in-Training, which is where I found this recipe. I've actually been trying lots of the recipes on my Pinterest Food Board lately.....and many of them have turned out great.
So if your ready to try and make your own caramels....you can find the recipe I used here.

etsy shop

Just a quick post to let you know that I'm slowly adding items to my etsy shop.

It feels good to be back.....real good!
I also wanted to let you know that I'll be writing a post with some of the specifics of our bathroom redo. I received lots of questions about some of the items I used as well as paint colors....and I'll give you all the details soon.

One more thing before I go....
thank you so much for the warm welcome back....you guys are truly the best!

Check....Check....is this thing on.
It sure has been a while since I last posted....I sure have missed you guys. We've been rockin' and rollin' over here with room makeovers....here's the latest room we've finished....our main floor bathroom.

As you can see from the way this bathroom started out (photo below), we've brightened and farmhoused (is that a word.... spell check says it isn't....but it should be) this baby up. When we bought our home, the bathroom looked like it does below...a little to cookie cutter for me....and in case you didn't know, we live in a 122-year old farmhouse....and cookie cutter just didn't cut it. We wanted something that fit in with the style of the home...as well as our style....and I think we've achieved that.

The whole bathroom remodel cost us about $1300.00....which isn't too bad considering we gutted the whole room down to the studs. I blogged about my inspiration bathrooms here....and I think we came pretty close.
Our next room project is under way right now....a little kitchen makeover....and I pinky promise to keep you posted on it.
I'll be back soon!
