That geese can walk up stairs....
I didn't until a couple weeks ago. We've had other geese....and none have been able to climb our porch stairs before....so imagine my surprise when I heard a faint knock at the door....only to find Ollie standing there waiting to come in.She's become quite the ham....and a little bossy at times too. One of the main reasons for us getting geese was that we thought they'd stay off our porch...nothing like coming home in the dark only to step on the "gifts" Ollie's left behind for us....yuck.
In other news....I have some new things I'll be adding to my etsy this week...stay tuned.
Have a happy Monday girls!
Love it! Our chickens come up on the deck once in awhile, too. But, they don't jump over the fence so much this year like they did last year! I think they got too heavy to be adventurous. Do your geese chase visitors?
ReplyDeleteHow precious! I love Ollie :) My hens seem to want to come inside sometimes, too.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. She just wants to come in for dinner & a movie!
ReplyDeleteDo you have a day next week... Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for a day out? Let me know!
Laurie :)
lol she is so sweet!!! xo Rachel
ReplyDeleteAwww....she just so pretty! I think you should let her come in, just to see what she thinks of the place.
ReplyDeleteOh, but diaper her first. ;o)

Ollie's adorable. I'd love to see something so cute looking in my window.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me smile. Ollie is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Much nicer than the possums we get on our porch.
ReplyDeleteOllie just wants to be part of the family. Are you sure she is climbing the stairs and not flying up? Better she leave you a golden egg than a messy surprise to step in.
ReplyDeleteStill one Ollie is better than what we put up with: http://fairfieldhousenj.com/2010/01/04/out-of-towners/
Look forward to seeing the new additions to your shop!
Your Friend,
Deborah
Awww, adorable!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Australia♥
oh dear seems you will need motion detection lights to highlight the "droppings"...oh seriously tho I am kinda jealous...to live where you have farm animals!...my dream!
ReplyDeleteI always wanted Geese. It just makes the farm real! Cute photo by the way.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet !!!..love Ria....xxx..
ReplyDeleteOllie is adorable. I thought geese were rather aggressive if anyone got too close? Do they chase strangers who come your way?
ReplyDeleteLove that little table that you bought and put right alongside your sofa. It is perfect. And the pail from France is sweet. We will be heading to Paris the end of this month -- my first time although hubby has been there many times on business. Looking forward to it.
Best wishes, Tammy
so cute!!!

One of my boys used to say as we strolled through parks,"Goose Poo" and thus he got the nickname Goose. Fond memories.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute picture! Maybe Ollie wanted to be close to you guys.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute ~ maybe Ollie just wants some attention ;-) or maybe a cup of tea
