This was a quickie makeover.....
I bought this chair a couple years ago with the intention of painting it right away....well of course it got pushed to the back of the furniture painting pile....but it's finally done.
This is how it look when I brought it home. It had great legs...and I loved the canning....and the blue velvet worked for me too. I knew the only thing I really had to do was paint it.Have I told you I love white paint....
it truly breathes new life into old things.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Totally fresh with just paint... love it! and the pillow too!

That is really stunning and the simple cushion with the stripe could not have been more perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, now I really need to get off my butt and get the three side chairs I brought home FOUR years ago PAINTED. But they don't have that great blue velvet upholstery - more like burnt orange. They do have the same caning.
ReplyDeleteYour success might be the inspiration I need to get mine done - finally.

very nice indeed, white paint does work wonders and yes do paint your stairs etc. the white staircase looks much fresher than all that dark heavy wood!
