Basket Goodness

This week my sweet friend Sue came over for a visit....and look what she brought me.

This amazing basket filled with vintage goodness. She tucked in all kinds of little treats...like...

this vintage chinese paintbrush...love it....

old clothespins....

vintage seam binding, tatted lace, doilies, beautiful white dishes, vintage sewing needles from england, old wooden spools....not to mention the beauty in the middle...a petite ironstone pitcher.

She put it all together so beautifully.

After gawking at it for some time....I told her she needs to open up an etsy shop and sell these....isn't that a great idea....gift baskets full of vintage goodness to give as a gift...or keep for yourself.

She could customize them by color...theme...hobby....great idea, huh.

What'ya think?

  1. I love things like this! My problem is I never want to dismantle them. I still haven't taken apart the delicious package I bought from you with the towels in them. Crazy, aren't I? :-)

  6. Perfect! Just my kind of thing! I gave a friend a Christmas gift in an old wire freezer basket with some garden books, crock for Paper Whites, blanket to cozy up with and some old garden things. She loved it. I think people would love it!

  14. What a great friend ~ definitely encourage her to open an etsy shop. I would be a regular customer. Though I agree with primjillie, I don't think I could bring myself to dismantle a basket so beautifully put together!
