Just Keepin' It Real

Yep....just keepin' it real....

and as you can see....there's lots of building going on....a carnival is being erected....yikes!

complete with roller coasters.....

and raceways.

Decorating talents provided by my 7-year-old son.

  4. It's nice to know I'm not the only one! I try not to stress over it since it will last only so long and before I know it, the kids will be grown and on their own.

  6. Too funny! We have been having puppet shows(thanks to watching hours of Muppets shows). Plus my hubby can't get into his office (my fault) so he is working on the coffee table and ground! It's a mess here too!

  7. Mine looks like that 50 percent of the time :) My friends son had the whole knex rollercoaster built in his room and over his doorway wrapped around the whole room , it was crazy!

  12. I don't have racetracks but I do have Barbies laying everywhere most of the time. Yesterday we had Barbies doing splits and tricks on top of a toilet paper pyramid. Literally every roll of toilet paper in my house was used as a pyramid for Barbie and all her friends. That's life, isn't it? I will miss the days when the dolls are gone.

  15. You know Andrea, if you didn't point out the "stuff" to us in that first picture.. it would've never even stood out to me. I think it's because of your very neutral living room color palette. You are not alone.. it's like shoveling in a snowstorm here at my place with my 3 & 4 yo. I have to hide many things here b/c if I turn my back.. look out. My 4 yo is really into getting into the 'fridge/freezer and experimenting with ice & mixing drinks right now. To be honest, I ♥ babies & infants.. ♥ the older child age 6+.. but right now the preschool age.. a'hem. ;)) You do have a good looking carnival rollercoaster going there! Hope you have a wonderful weekend..

Hope all is well on your neck of the woods :) Life here is starting to return to a touch of normal, Hopefully as my daughter recovers a bit more, I will be able to visit everyone a bit more :) Have a beautiful weekend! 19. I hear ya! My kids have been out of school for two weeks now and there's wires and games everywhere, constant noise all day long. I work in administration at the school they attend and my last day was this past Sunday, so at least now, I have the whole day to stay on top of things. Although, mostly I choose to blog and craft. :) Best wishes for your weekend, Tammy

  20. Hi Andrea,

Oh I remember those days, and did enjoy them having fun, building huts and toys everywhere.
Marcel, our son is now 18, and that has gone very quickly.

    Happy weekend

  21. Andrea, you made me smile today! Right now I am looking at a library erected on my windowsill, a 50 car matchbox pile-up in the middle of the floor, Barbie's closet has exploded in one corner, in the other a nursery for a dozen stuffed animals, and...

My very favorite is the collection of Hello Kitty stickers adorning our patio doors and Emma declaring, "Look mommy I decorated for you."

Nice to know I am not alone!

    Best wishes,
    Tammy

  29. I remember those days, kids and grandkids. However, I miss them because I recently moved back to Kansas after losing most everything in the last two hurricanes, ( Rita and Ike ) I really like what you guys have done to your home. I want to recover my couch too. What kind of material did you use and did you make a pattern? If so, How? It turned out lovely.
    Till next time

Young boys have a great way of redoing life for one... You can't be picture perfect all the time! It looks like a creative mind is at work here. I always enjoy visiting you and seeing what's happening!

    LOVE your #4 bird tags.
