I thought I'd throw that warning in the title....just in case your sick of hearing updates on anything with feathers....that way you can skip this post if you'd like....but like I said before....just showin' you the day to day goings on.
Okay....so if your sticking around to see some cute feathery babies here they are.....above are our 4 week old Frizzle Chickens....don't ya love all the ruffles on them. Out of the 4 chicks we brought home....3 turned out to be Frizzles....and all are feather footed....so cute!
And here are Annabelle and Genevive {at least that's their names for now until we know what sex they are}.....they are so adorable....
they follow us everywhere....like little shadows....even down the dirt road to the neighbors....we can't seem to shak'em {that's my son going to get the mail with his buddies}....not that we'd want to...we find it so amusing that they want to be with us so much....cuz we think we're kinda boring....but Annabelle and Genevive seem to think we're the bees knees {love that saying}.~Andrea
Oh so adorable! I love how they follow you around. Great pictures too.

ReplyDeleteIm a sucker for anything that has to do with animals!
you know I'm so jealous. The latest obstacle in my getting chickens - we have eagles nesting near us now. They are always circling above, and there are about 4 of them. Not good for chicken family walks.

I've always loved the saying "the bees knees" also. Here in Texas there are a lot of "sayings!" I love your little followers. My cat Clyde does the same thing. Follows me all over the neighborhood.

Oh my! I loved seeing your geese . . I acquired two gray geese from my sister, I would say they were about four years old. I named them Tillie and Pete. They quickly grew on my husband and I - we had never had geese before! Very curious about everything and I loved to pick up Pete and give him hugs. One night I heard a strange noise from outside of the house. . Tillie was pecking at her shadow cast on the side of the house from the porch light! It was the cutest thing! The one and only time we put our dogs in a kennel for a weekend get away I came home to a pile of feathers - a cougar had killed them. I miss them to this day and would love to have goats, chickens - you name it, but we still have resident cougars and I don't want to take the chance. So enjoy your menagerie - they give so much joy.
