Spring Cleaning

I love cleaning my home....it's a chore I truly find rewarding....after all....there's nothing better than a sparkling, organized and clean smelling home.

And I love these products....Mrs. Meyers....the Basil scent is my favorite.

And this is how I keep my cleaning supplies corralled....in a tin bucket. It's much roomier than those cleaning caddies you usually see...and looks prettier too....don't you think?

And this book helps me clean....green. It has great cleaning tips....and wonderful ways to use more environmentally friendly products.

Happy Spring Cleaning!

  2. Hi Andrea - I just spent the first part of my vacation week spring cleaning my house so that I could enjoy the 2nd part of my week in a sparkling clean house.
I too, love to clean - my husband thinks i am a tab bit nuts at times
but i can't stand having a dirty or messy home.
Will have to try some of that Meyers - and pick up that book

  3. Love the galzanized bucket, that is such a great idea! So much prettier than the white plastic caddy I use!

I really should investigate 'green' cleaning a little more. I love a sparkling bathroom, but the checmical smell is awful. You may have just inspired me! ;o)

  6. I put mint or lavendar oil in my mop water and it only takes a bit to smell fresh and clean. I hate mopping but love the smell, it gets me through. I imagine your house is always neat and tidy.

  8. I have never seen that brand of cleaning products before. I will have to look into them.
I enjoy having a clean house....not always the process of it though. Although, I do have to say I enjoy vaccuming. I know, sounds crazy, but ever since my sweet hubby bought me a dyson, I love vaccuming.

Im so glad it's spring so the little ones aren't inside the house making messes all day anymore.
I will be looking up this book too.
I already use vinegars and baking soda and such. I made the switch for the kids sake but need a wider range of supplies. Thanks for this helpful post!

  14. I was just thinking about this today. Have your ever tried any of the Caldrea products? I am in love with the Basil Sage scent! The laundry soap is fantastic but pricey. I only use it for sheets and towels. And I have that book I need to read thru it again for a refresher course:)

  20. I feel that way about the home I live in now. I normally dont enjoy cleaning, but for the last year me and my family have moved more times than wanted and havent had a place that felt like our own. We have finally moved into a home that feels like "Home" and I seem to appriciate it more than any other house ive lived in. I really enjoy cleaning and decorating it and makeing it feel homey.. Love the cleaning bucket idea.

  21. It's so hard to keep anything clean around here because of the all the sandstorms. Two boys and a cat don't help with the cleanliness factor either. I can spend all day cleaning and it can all be so not worth it the next day when a storm blows in. A never ending battle. As long as I can keep things tidy and in their place, that's the best I can hope for. I want to try making some of my own cleaning products one of these days. Have a wonderful weekend. :) Tammy
