I was thinking the other day....that I've really never shown you much of my home....so today I thought I'd share my office with you.
If you recall....this is where my office used to be....it was only 8x9 and c.r.a.m.p.e.d.
This is my office now.....it resides in our sun-filled basement. The other side of this room is our family room (the one with the ginormous sofa I'm slipcovering....update on that soon)....I love having the two rooms connected....that way I can have a little privacy....but not be too far from the family. So....to kinda seperate the spaces....I hung curtains to give the office/creative space a little definition.
My hubby made me this long 9 foot table....perfect for packaging.
My vintage dressform.
I love this new space....I've been in here for about 2 months....and love the morning light that shines in on this room.
See my white chair....that's where I'm at right now....talking with you guys.I love being able to leave my sewing machine out...and just having the room to spread out.
It's still a work in progress....always adding something....and taking something out....but if that's the case....my whole home is a work in progress....I can never just leave things alone....I'm always rearranging....shifting....painting....adjusting....but I love that....and I know you girls can totally relate....right.
A beautiful vintage office! You have all the perfect vintage accessories - and I am crazy about all cabinet and the white hutch. Looks like a step back in time ~ you must always be on the look out for the perfect items! I must not have the "eye." :)

Did you get my email about the auction at the fairgounds in Springfield this coming Sunday? They usually have tons of good things ~
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate! My husband has to look to see where the sofa is when he comes home from work...you just never know around here. That is a truly beautiful space. I would LOVE that morning light, too. I remember you have a very old farmhouse...did you have a new foundation? I love an old house with a nice basement. Such a great thing for a modern day family to get the best of both worlds. The whole thing looks fantastic! ;o) ~mary~
ReplyDeleteomgI adore your dress form!! I am on the hunt for one! Fabulous work space, love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great room Andrea -
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing -
i love your "distressed" cabinet and the three tiered basket on your table.
It's wonderful.
Andrea,
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT office, if I had a space like that I would NEVER want to leave it! Then again I imagine the rest of your home is just as fabulous. Thanks for sharing, I am inspired!
Best wishes,
Tammy
Such as lovely place to work and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteIt is perfect... especially that chandy! And a sunfilled basement... don't see that often!
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Oh my gosh.....I am gobsmacked Andrea!!! what an awesome place to call your own...so many pretty details make it just perfect!! Going back for a better look! x0
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely sweet space...you are blessed!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's all so neat and dainty; what a happy place to work! And I think I spot my favourite bag again.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate..I hardly ever show pictures of my house cause I can never finish what I start. I edit..move around....rooms become other rooms~lol
ReplyDeleteI recently made our dining room~MY SPACE~my space has been in about 4 different rooms of our house....I took the whole office(not good)Have to share computer with hubby.
The spare bedroom(not good)stayed a mess and company would have never wanted to stay there.
I think the worst one was the large area in our master bedroom(not good)if hubby wanted to go to bed and my daughter wanted to craft with me....no privacy
We RARELY use our dining room...I love the openness...stay close to the family as you mentioned...everyone can craft with me if they want....and it is still functional as a dining room if needed :)
Sorry for the long comment...love your space!
Hi Andrea,
