Outdoor Romance

I love dining alfresco...and here's a wonderful idea from Martha.

This outdoor dining area has been given a touch of romance...the sweet quilted jam jars holding votive candles casts a beautiful glow on the dinner below. Wouldn't these votives look just as stunning hanging from tree branches too. To see how Martha makes these...you can check it out here.

  6. Andrea, thanks for the idea about hanging the votives from the tree branches. I was planning on trying to hang a chandelier from the giant tree in front of our farmhouse, but now I'm also going to try the votive candles too!

  7. Oh, how I WISH I lived in a climate that allowed this type of dining environment! Here, in NC, the mosquitoes are so big and aggressive that they fight over which one gets to carry us off. There just isn't enough bug spray. I guess I'll just enjoy this picture and dream....
