Is It Thursday Already?

Is it Thursday already? Where did this week go....hmmm....let me think.... my little one has been home sick all week. This is only his second week of kindergarten and he missed the whole week. So...so far he loves school cuz he gets to go for one week and then gets a week off...well, that's what he thinks anyways.lol! So, with that said, I really didn't get a whole lot of work done this week. I did make some more ephemera packets and french flags to add to the shop...and next week I will be putting on my creating hat to come up with some more goodies for you.

I just love this vintage Irice perfume bottle/atomizer. Don't ya just love those tiny flowers...they remind me of itty bitty forget-me-nots.

And this perfume bottle is in one of my favorite colors...Aqua. The top of bottle has the cutest daisy flower.

Miscellany

Today, I just thought I'd share with you a couple things that I picked up for myself...that I just love! The picture above, is my new purse that I had sent to me all the way from Italy. It's made of gorgeous italian linen and is exactly what I've been looking for...I had to go far to find this one...lol. All I had to do was add one of the beautiful French Ribbon Roses that I have in my shop and...viola.

And this beauty is a 1750 french legal transcript. It has 64 pages of the most gorgeous french text and is bound together with a simple thin twine. The pages are stamped with a french shield and the paper itself is stunning...tattered edges and all. LOVE it!

Country Dots

See those little dots in the countryside....those are our goats. They have finally had the guts to go into their new fenced pasture. Your probably wondering...why in the world would goats be scared to go into a new pasture...well, that's because these are fainting goats. Fainting goats tend to be a bit more timid then other goats, but once they know you, they run to greet you.

That white fluff is our white german shepard, Sophie. She just loves to "try" to coral our goats into their pen, but instead the goats playfully gallop trying to play a game of tag.

This is a picture of Nico. He is the smallest of the trio...but don't let his size fool you...he's the first one to push his head into the feed tub. In case your not sure why these are called fainting goats, click here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_3Utmj4RPU to check them out in action.

A Little Gem

Ok, so this weekend I decided to follow some signs that took me to a neighboring town and look what I found. Isn't this a sweet little shop. Now, from the outside you'd never know that it was filled with all this good stuff. See the huge counter above...just love that!

The owner had some great stuff and I did pick up a few goodies for myself...and I didn't forget about you guys...I got some goodies for the shop too. What's so cute about this shop is that it is in a town with a population of 330 people. There is literally nothing in the town, so to find this little gem was so exciting.

Lucy...I'm Home

I was just over at Pretty Petals reading her fabulous blog, and rushed right over to post all about it. There is a show called Time Warp Wives in Britian that you really must check out. These are women who are living their lives completely submerged in a certain era. Whether it be the 30's, 40's or 50's...they dress, cook and breathe that era. Ok...So are you ready to take a peek back in time...here we go...

I wanted to share with you the most wonderful surprise I received in the mailbox last week.

This.....Isn't it the sweetest thing you ever saw. It's a gorgeous french inspired rag book made by the lovely Kris of Tres Belle. I saw it on her blog and thought it was just beautiful....and a few days later....here it was. What a wonderful and unexpected surprise! It is made of a deep purple velvet...

and is embellished with lace, rhinestones, gorgeous prints, glitter, buttons, crepe paper....

and loads of flowing ribbon and charms. Absolutely stunning!
